Happy Friday everyone.
I'm not going deep, I'm not going for anything except beautiful images. So, I present you with two short pieces from opposite sides of the world (ok - not that opposite, but enough that you'll understand what I mean).
The first is a snapshot of Iceland. God, how I want to go there after watching this.
This next one is for you mom. Just a little slice of home and a stroll along the memory banks. Although, I wish that Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" was playing in the background.
It just seems fitting doesn't it?
And I won't lie - this just makes me miss Fantasy Island even more.
I am not sure why, but the first film brought me to tears. It was breathtaking. Can you tell me the name of the song that was playing?
ReplyDeleteAnd, then, the Coney Island piece did make me cry. For lost memories - sweet and bitter. I thought of high school trips to Coney Island, and eating Nathan's dogs. I thought of Atlantic City, and walks along that boardwalk, and getting taffy. And, of course, countless evenings/nights at Seaside - the sounds, the aromas, the giggles, the prizes.
And you know what, Drew? It makes me miss Fantasy Island more as well, but it makes me miss YOU the most.
